Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in Bettendorf, IA. You will gain hands-on experience supporting civil design, analysis, field observations, and documentation while working with seasoned engineers and consultants.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil Engineering
• Prior internship in building design consulting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil design work in accordance with code and IMEG standards
• Research commercially available equipment and resources
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation
• Coordinate design and scheduling with other disciplines and suppliers
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project progress
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement
