Job summary

Grainger's Technology Group offers a 10-week, paid internship in downtown Chicago. As a Business Intelligence intern, you’ll work with the Digital Experience Analytics team to analyze online data and influence product, technology, and business strategy.

You will gain hands-on experience with Snowflake, Power BI, and modern analytics tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The program includes networking, professional development, and presentation opportunities to leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• Expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Evidence of data-driven project work or internships.
• Interest in digital customer behavior and experience measurement.
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, or Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
• Clear written and visual communication skills for stakeholders.
• Willingness to use AI tools with validated outputs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer experience across digital channels to uncover opportunities and value.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, technology, and business teams to scope projects.
• Gather, clean, and analyze data from large digital and business data ecosystems.
• Build reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders to act on insights.
• Use Snowflake, Power BI, Excel, Adobe Analytics, SQL, Python, and R as appropriate.
• Summarize insights and tradeoffs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support ad hoc analyses, A/B testing, and measurement planning.
• Present work and key learnings to technology leaders at internship end.
