Cook Medical LLC invites students to join LoopTech as an Intern in Applied AI & Full Stack Development in Bloomington, IN. You will contribute to real AI-powered features, work on Python backends and TS/React frontends, and use agentic tools to ship demos from week one.

The 12-week paid internship offers mentorship, a capstone presentation, and internship events, with onsite housing stipend, fitness center access, and an onsite cafeteria option where available.

Qualifications

• Strong programming in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript with git fluency.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Interest in large language models and applied AI; AI coding assistants a plus.
• Familiarity with ML concepts or PyTorch is a plus but not required.
• Self-starting with problem-solving, autonomous work style and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in AI field.
• Strong communication to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Interest in Life Sciences and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features in LoopTech products using Python and TS/React.
• Leverage AI tools and prompt engineering to speed development.
• Assist data collection, preparation, and model evaluation tasks.
• Help run evaluation harnesses and analyze results for AI models.
• Prototype concepts through quick demos and capstone projects.
• Document approaches and present working software at demos and capstones.
• Collaborate in team discussions, knowledge sharing, and pilot projects.
