Job summary

FRASCA, a FlightSafety International company based in Illinois, offers a 10-week Additive Manufacturing Internship beginning June 1, 2027 and ending August 4, 2027. Interns will support onboarding, testing, validation, and implementation of new metal additive equipment and help develop workflows, design criteria, and documentation as new equipment comes online.

Qualifications

• Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• A major in Mechanical Engineering or related; Computer Engineering or Computer Science; Control Systems; Industrial Design is preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of application; must be submitted on resume.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer programs, techniques, and concepts for the area of application.

Responsibilities

• Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
• Rotates through divisions and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
• Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
• Engages with customers or clients and provides service and/or sales.
• Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
• Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.
