Job summary

FlightSafety International in Urbana, IL is offering a paid Additive Manufacturing Intern position for a 10-week program starting June 1, 2027. The role supports onboarding, testing, validation and implementation of new metal additive equipment, and helps develop workflows, design criteria and documentation as equipment comes online.

Interns will rotate through responsibilities, engage with customers, assist in process improvements, learn internal software systems, and contribute to projects

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher; to be listed on resume.
• Preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, Industrial Design.

Responsibilities

• Understand the company concept, brand, customer and product goals.
• Rotate through divisions, contribute ideas to grow the business.
• Research, propose ideas, and present final project during the internship.
• Engage with customers and provide service and/or sales support.
• Suggest improvements to management for customer service and internal processes.
• Learn and use internal software systems.
