Job summary
Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Dorset is seeking a Band 7 Paediatric Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to provide expert clinical leadership for children and young people with respiratory conditions across acute, outpatient, school and community settings.
The role offers a development opportunity with a structured pathway from Band 6 to Band 7, flexible 30 hours per week, and a supportive multidisciplinary team focused on improving patient outcomes and service
Qualifications
- Registered Children's Nurse with NMC registration.
- Degree-level nursing qualification or equivalent experience.
- Post-registration training in paediatric respiratory care or willingness to undertake.
- Independent Non Medical Prescribing (V300) or willingness to complete.
- Leadership or quality improvement training.
Responsibilities
- Provide highly specialist nursing expertise and leadership for CYP with respiratory conditions.
- Deliver integrated, evidence-based respiratory care across settings.
- Lead nurse-led respiratory services and education for patients, families and staff.
- Develop and improve respiratory care pathways and undertake audit and QI work.
