Veritas Veterinary Partners is hiring a compassionate PACU Veterinary Assistant to join our surgical care team in Las Vegas, NV. This role focuses on post-anesthesia recovery, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and close monitoring in a high-quality, collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience, preferably in a specialty hospital, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a general practice.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in a veterinary specialty hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during post-operative and post-anesthetic recovery.
• Accurately record vital signs and identify changes in patient condition.
• Assist with pain management, warming, positioning, and comfort measures.
• Maintain a clean, organized PACU and surgical recovery area.
• Communicate patient updates clearly to veterinarians and technicians.
• Assist with patient transfers and support emergency situations as needed.
