Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners is hiring a PACU Veterinary Assistant for our Las Vegas surgical care team. You will support patients in post-anesthesia recovery, monitor vitals, assist with pain management, and help ensure comfort and safety in a fast-paced, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as Veterinary Assistant in a general practice.
• Preference for candidates with experience in a veterinary specialty hospital setting.
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment and build relationships.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on client service.
• Commitment to delivering high-level patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during post-operative and post-anesthetic recovery.
• Record vital signs and identify changes in patient condition.
• Assist with pain management, warming, positioning, and comfort measures.
• Maintain a clean, organized PACU and surgical recovery area.
• Communicate patient updates clearly to veterinarians and technicians.
• Assist with patient transfers and emergency situations as needed.
