Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking a compassionate PACU Veterinary Assistant to join our surgical care team in the Las Vegas area. You will support patients in post-anesthesia recovery, monitor vitals, and help with pain management and transfers.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and delivering exceptional patient care. We offer competitive hourly pay ($19–$22) with swing and overnight differentials, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a general practice.
• Preference for candidates with specialty hospital experience.
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment and deliver high-level patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during post-operative and post-anesthetic recovery.
• Record vital signs accurately and identify changes in patient condition.
• Assist with pain management, warming, positioning and comfort measures.
• Maintain a clean, organized PACU and surgical recovery area.
• Communicate patient updates to veterinarians and technicians.
• Assist with patient transfers and support emergency situations as needed.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and reassurance to pet families.
