Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Care Team for direct patient care and clinical leadership. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while supporting sound clinical decisions and teamwork.

Responsibilities include policy enforcement, budgeting, staffing optimization, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with a focus on quality outcomes and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing with active RN licensure.
• Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license.
• BLS-CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Leadership experience preferred, including unit oversight.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and enforcing unit policies and procedures.
• Monitor staffing levels and operate within budget guidelines.
• Delegate tasks, set performance expectations and hold staff accountable.
• Ensure high-quality patient care and participate in quality audits.
• Collaborate with administration, physicians and ancillary departments to improve outcomes.
