Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and certifications ACLS/BLS/PALS.

Travel nurses provide essential care as patients recover from anesthesia and are monitored for any adverse reactions. Responsibilities include caring for a wide age range, developing care plans, and reporting changes to physicians.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certification required or in progress.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred for PACU RN.
• Travel nursing assignment in PACU – Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-op patients as they recover from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report changes to physicians.
• Care for a broad age range from pediatrics to adults.
• Determine when patients are ready to move to a room or discharge.
