Job summary

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is seeking a PACU Staff Nurse to apply the nursing process for patients of all ages, delivering safe, therapeutic care aligned with our Mission and Core Values. You will provide total patient care daily, assist in coordinating care with the team, and assume relief charge duties as needed, while adhering to hospital policies and maintaining professional standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, CA RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of experience in an Acute Care Hospital in PACU.
• Registered Nurse: CA RN License.
• BLS/ CPR within 30 days.
• ACLS within 30 days.
• PALS within 30 days.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our PACU Staff Nurse, you will expertly apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide safe, therapeutic care for patients of all ages, aligning with our Mission and Core Values.

Every day you will provide total patient care, assist in managing care administered by other staff, and assume responsibility for your assignments, including relief charge nurse duties as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of nursing principles, effectively collaborate with the healthcare team, and take accountability for patient outcomes.

• Employee has the willingness and ability to perform additional duties and responsibilities in different areas of the department on an as needed basis or as determined by management.
• Follows established hospital and department policies.
• Communicates well with supervisor reporting problems with equipment, supplies or procedures. Requests assistance as appropriate.
• Maintains good attendance and punctuality.
• Consistently projects positive professional image through appearance and behavior.
• Attends 80% of staff meetings and read and initials minutes of all meetings.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
• One year of experience in an Acute Care Hospital in PACU
• Registered Nurse: CA RN License
• Basic Life Support - CPR BLS, within 30 Days
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 30 Days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS, within 30 Days
