Peninsula Surgery Center, LLC in California seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the post-anesthesia care unit. The role involves admitting patients, performing pre-operative interviews, educating patients, and ensuring safe postoperative care.

You will coordinate with physicians and the care team to manage scheduling and patient flow. Required are an active California RN license and ACLS/BLS certification, with at least two years in recovery care.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recovery room experience in acute care.
• ACLS/BLS certification and active California RN license required.
• Experience in ambulatory surgery centers preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, families, and teams.

Responsabilités

• Participate as a team member in support of the perioperative process.
• Admit patient to perioperative setting and conduct pre-op interview and education.
• Explain informed consent and answer questions for patient/family.
• Communicate changes in OR schedule and staffing needs to team.
• Administer medications and provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Explain postoperative plan and perform post-op follow-up calls.
