Job summary

The Registered Nurse Surgical Services role at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia's UVA Health Culpeper site provides leadership in patient care across the surgical services. You will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care in line with policies.

The position requires an RN license, BSN preferred, CPI certification for certain units, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• RN license in applicable state required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPI certification within three months of hire for Behavioral Health/ED/CSSO.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead care planning with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Prepare for and respond to critical situations including CPR.
• On-call responsibilities as directed.
