Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU. This full-time days position requires four 10-hour shifts and on-call coverage.

The Perioperative Services team delivers surgical care across a range of specialties and emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing learning. Ideal candidates hold an AZ RN license, an associate degree in nursing, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS within one year of hire.

Qualificações

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire.
• PALS certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs duties as assigned and requested.
• Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient's condition, procedures, medications, and treatments.
• Adequately assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
• Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors.
• Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope.
• Ensures patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors.
• Operates and manages equipment safely and correctly.
• Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
