Job summary

Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the PACU team. Schedule encompasses four 10-hour shifts with on-call requirements, focusing on high-quality perioperative care in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates hold an active AZ (or compact) RN license, with a nursing degree and BLS; ACLS/PALS within 1 year. Strong teamwork and patient safety are core to our mission.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
• Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications within 1 year of hire.
• One year of experience in perioperative or PACU environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as assigned and requested.
• Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient’s condition and treatments.
• Adequately assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
• Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights.
• Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope.
• Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
