Job summary

Join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center as a Full-Time Registered Nurse. Bring your post-anesthesia care experience to a team that values clinical expertise, collaboration, and compassionate patient care.

You’ll assess patients through recovery, respond to changes, manage care needs, and prepare patients and families for the next stage of care. You’ll mentor staff and contribute to clinical practice improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or eligible via Compact state agreements.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA).
• Minimum 1 year RN bedside experience; 2–3 years perioperative nursing experience; 5–7 years perioperative nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care to PACU patient population and act as clinical resource.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to address patient/family needs.
• Mentor and support staff development and participate in practice improvements.
