Job summary

Campbell Clinic PC in Germantown, TN, is seeking a PACU RN for a part-time 20-hour-per-week role in our ambulatory surgery setting. You will provide safe, high-quality care, monitor anesthesia recovery, and coordinate with the surgical team.

Requires RN license in TN, with at least 1 year PACU/critical care experience, BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred. Must read EKG, operate surgical equipment, and document care. We offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited post-secondary school of nursing.
• 1 year of PACU or Critical Care experience.
• Current TN RN License or Multistate Licensure Compact required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret the EKG monitor.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document patient care, observations, medications, and medical history.
• Observe the patient according to appropriate physiological and developmental age.
• Administer medications following physician orders.
• Initiate and coordinate pain management; manage patient airway post-surgery.
• Serve as liaison between patient, family, and surgical team to coordinate all aspects of nursing care and teaching to achieve desired outcomes and ensure patient safety.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Graduate of accredited post-secondary school of nursing required.

Experience: 1 year of previous PACU or Critical Care (RF, ICU, or similar) experience required.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Basic computer skills required.

Certifications & Licenses: Current TN Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact required.

BLS and ACLS certification required.

PALS certification preferred.

Other Requirements: Ability to immediately recognize and initiate treatment in emergency situations (perform CPR).

Must be able to read and interpret the EKGmonitor.

Must have knowledge of anesthetic agents used - inhalation, moderate sedation, and injection; the usual dosages, symptoms and toxic amounts, duration of action, contraindications, antidotes, etc.

Able to operate and troubleshoot equipment found in surgery.
