Job summary

Westgate Surgery Center in Glendale, AZ, is seeking a PREOP/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients recovering from general anesthesia or sedation in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The PACU RN will assist physicians, use sterile techniques, monitor patient status, and coordinate care from admission through discharge, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and family preparation for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
