Job summary

Desert Ridge Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a qualified RN for the Pre OP PACU role on a PRN basis. The RN will provide continuous nursing care, monitor patient condition and safety, and assist with procedures, sedation, and sterile technique as needed.

Responsibilities include care for patients emerging from anesthesia and planning for discharge, in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Requirements include an unrestricted RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, 1–3 years in

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1–3 years of previous experience in PreOP/PACU and Endoscopy.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care, with continual evaluation of patient condition and safety.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide total care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for discharge.
