Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU. This role covers pediatric through adult patients in the immediate post-operative period, with rotating shifts, rotating holidays, and a call requirement.

The RN will collaborate with OR/ ED/Inpatient teams, anesthesia staff, surgeons, PT, radiology, and pharmacy to deliver high-quality patient care. Required Ohio RN licensure, BLS (90 days), ACLS and PALS (within 6 months if not current).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• BLS required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway.
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support.
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular and sensory motor status.
• Provide adequate pain and comfort measures.
• Assess wound/incision integrity.
• Perform overall patient assessment.
