Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU seeks an RN to care for pediatric through adult patients in the immediate post-operative period. You will monitor airway, stability, sedation, and pain while coordinating with OR, ED, anesthesia, surgeons and allied teams.

Eligibility includes Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS, and 1 year RN experience for PRN roles; MetroHealth provides tuition reimbursement, certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance through OPERS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway.
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support.
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status.
• Provide adequate pain and comfort measures.
• Assess wound/incision integrity.
• Overall patient assessment.
• Collaborate with OR/ ED/Inpatient RNs, Perioperative staff, Anesthesia, Surgeons, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy.

Education

Registered Nurse licensure (Ohio)

AHA BLS for healthcare provider

ACLS and PALS certification

Graduate of accredited nursing program
