Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an RN to join the Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU. Rotation shifts and call requirements apply as part of an on-site PACU team serving pediatric through adult postoperative patients.

Responsibilities include airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, sedation oversight, and comprehensive post-anesthesia care. The role partners with OR/ED staff, anesthesia, and surgeons, offering tuition reimbursement and strong retirement benefits in a public system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS for healthcare providers certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway and airway patency.
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support.
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status.
• Provide adequate pain and comfort measures.
• Assess wound/incision integrity and overall patient status.
