Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia seeks an experienced PACU RN to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care. You will collaborate with surgeons and the anesthesia team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the PACU, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical standards.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PACU or critical care experience. BSN is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth and continuous improvement within the Surgical

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification preferred.
• Prior Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process within the PACU.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Communicate patient status changes to the physician based on monitoring and test results.
• Ensure adherence to regulations, standards, and unit policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, meetings and in-services.
