Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• RN licensure (CO or applicable state) required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care activities and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plans and outcomes, adjusting as needed to improve patient health.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond promptly to code situations and intervene to stabilize patients.
