Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a Full-Time PREOP/PACU/Procedural Registered Nurse for Urology ASC - Perimeter. The PACU RN provides continuous, quality nursing care from anesthesia emergence through discharge, with careful assessment and planning for patient safety and comfort.

The role emphasizes timely decision-making, strong communication, and coordination with the surgical team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous and quality nursing care with ongoing evaluation of the patient.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family in preparation for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
