Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU on a per diem basis. Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, with opportunities to start earlier as needed. Weekend call is required every 5-6 weeks and includes 12-hour day/night shifts.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within defined timelines, and an ADN or BSN within 5 years. Responsibilities include high-quality patient care and effective teamwork.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing; BSN required within 5 years.
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
CPR (BLS) certification.
ACLS within ninety days of start date.
PALS within ninety days of start date.

Responsibilities

Renders professional nursing care to provide quality patient care.
Employing critical thinking skills, assesses patients' condition, recognizes deviations, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients' progress, and records pertinent observations.
Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
