Job summary

Endeavor Health's Swedish Hospital Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU on days and evenings. This full-time position offers 10-hour shifts with schedules such as 9a-7p, 10a-8p, 11a-9p or 1p-11p, including call requirements.

You will apply the nursing process, maintain competency, document thoroughly, and support staff in a fast-paced recovery setting. Current IL RN license and BLS are required; ACLS and PALS within 3 months.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
IL RN License.
CPR/BLS through American Heart Association.
ACLS through American Heart Association within 3 months of start.
PALS through American Heart Association within 3 months of start.

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.
Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
