Job summary

Advocate Health in Lexington is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the PACU at Lexington Medical Center. You will apply nursing processes to assess and treat patients, collaborate with the care team, and document accurately in the EHR.

Expect Monday–Friday scheduling with on-call requirements to meet patient care needs. The role requires a nursing degree, active RN license, BLS, and typically 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state.
• BLS certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN preferred and willingness to float within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patients, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Float to other units within the service area as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care and adhere to department policies and standards.
