Job summary

Adventist Healthcare is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU at Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD. The role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care and aligning with the organization's mission of holistic healing.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of RN experience, preferably PACU or Critical Care, and holds a Maryland RN license with BLS (ACLS/PALS/NRP as required). This position offers part-time day shifts and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly to maximize efficiency.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
