Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a PACU RN Manager to oversee clinical operations of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center.

You will lead PACU nursing staff, ensure patient safety, and maintain regulatory compliance while collaborating with anesthesia teams, surgeons, and OR leadership to optimize case flow. The ideal candidate has strong clinical leadership, excellent communication, and sound perioperative judgment with experience in PACU

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• Graduated from a Texas BON-approved accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU or critical care nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification preferred.
• Previous outpatient/ambulatory surgical center experience is a plus.

Job description

The PACU RN Manager oversees all clinical operations of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit in a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality patient recovery, leading and developing PACU nursing staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The Manager collaborates closely with anesthesia providers, surgeons, OR leadership, and the Business Office to support efficient case flow and positive patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, clinical oversight, performance improvement, patient safety initiatives, and ensuring adherence to ASC policies, infection control standards, and accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and experience in perioperative or PACU nursing.

Required Experience

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
• Previous experience in an outpatient or ambulatory surgical center is a plus.
