Job summary

Gold Coast Surgicenter is seeking a Registered Nurse, RN PACU for a full-time position in a same-day surgery setting. You will provide comprehensive post-operative care under physician orders, monitor patient status, and manage supplies and charging in the center.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license, and valid BLS and ACLS certifications. You will participate in ongoing education and collaborate closely with physicians and staff to ensure

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in a same day surgery setting.
• Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician’s orders and center policies.
• Monitors and controls use of and charging for supplies utilized in the center.
• Cares and discharges post-operative patients according to facility policies.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by the physicians.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality; provides psychological support as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and other departments to ensure quality patient outcomes.
