Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. seeks a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit nurse to provide direct postoperative care from admission to discharge, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient stability and optimal recovery.

The role requires an accredited RN program, CA RN license, ACLS/BLS, and preferred PACU/ICU/ER experience. 12-hour shifts available; pay is $56/hr with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Two years of work experience in PACU/ICU/ER preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Current California Registered Nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct postoperative nursing care in the PACU until discharge.
• Documents procedures, assessments, vitals and care plans for the patient.
• Develops and revises an individualized plan of care based on nursing assessment and procedure.
• Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist regarding patient condition and management.
• Provides education to patient and family and conducts postoperative follow-up.
