Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare family, seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to care for post-operative patients, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and collaborate with the surgery and anesthesia teams.

This PRN role offers on-call hours, self-scheduling, dedicated leadership, staffing support, and access to extensive benefits, education resources, and career growth within a nationwide transfer policy.

Qualifications

• Active NH Registered Nurse license or compact license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• 1 year of PACU/critical care experience preferred.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes during shift.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up care.
