Job summary

Gateway Surgery Center, an ASC under United Surgical Partners International, seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care and patient safety in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications include PA Nursing License, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and GI PACU experience is preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and meticulous aseptic technique within a supportive center environment.

Qualifications

• Current PA Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 year experience in GI preferred
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Experience working in an ASC environment preferred
• Must be team-oriented and patient-focused

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition and safety.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as needed.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from anesthesia; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.
