Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and caring aligned with MercyOne values.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care to patients with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides care per physician orders, unit protocols and professional judgment.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities and supports peers’ development.
• Delivers care while respecting patient autonomy, safety and dignity.
• Maintains documentation in the hospital information system.
