Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU. This full-time day-shift role requires NC licensure, offers a $20,000 commitment bonus, and supports ongoing professional development.

You will provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced PACU, collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff, and contribute to patient recovery and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state or compact) required.
• BSN preferred but not required; ongoing professional development encouraged.
• BLS within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/PACU using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Meets the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families.
• Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.
