Parkland Health's Ambulatory Surgery Center in Dallas is seeking a registered nurse for a PRN, day-shift role. The RN will provide care within established protocols and a multidisciplinary plan of care to restore stability and prevent complications.

Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program, preferably with a BSN. Texas RN license (or compact), BLS, ALS/ACLS, and PALS are required or will be within specified timeframes.

Formación

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Must have current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.
• Must have current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network.
• Must have current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification on hire or placement in the role; from: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network.
• Must have current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification within 90 days of hire or placement in role; from: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network.

Responsabilidades

• Serves as a patient advocate, by focusing on patient needs, patient rights, confidentiality, and religious and cultural preferences.
• Completes appropriate patient assessments, admission criteria, identification and implementation of appropriate clinical interventions, discharge planning, interdisciplinary communication.
• Utilizes critical thinking skills and recognizes emergency situations and provides appropriate nursing interventions.
• Integrates national nursing organization resources/standards of practice in decision making and educational/performance improvement projects.
