Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for SDS/PACU. The role delivers evidence-informed, family-centered care within a Catholic, not-for-profit health system serving eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

The ideal candidate holds Iowa RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified timelines; experience with ASPAN/AORN standards is preferred. Bachelor’s degree is desirable; strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active registration for Registered Nurse – Board of Nursing, State of Iowa.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within specified timelines.
• Knowledge of ASPAN and AORN standards desirable.
• Nursing degree preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must possess problem solving, critical thinking, and patient assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess, intervene, co-coordinate and provide direct patient care.
• Communicate with physicians, ancillary care-givers, patients and families regarding the plan of care.
• Provide holistic nursing care aligned with MercyOne Clinton Medical Center’s mission.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across physical, psychosocial, nutritional, functional, safety, spiritual and educational needs.
