Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the SDS/PACU unit. You will provide family-centered care, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and deliver safe, evidence-based nursing per ANA standards.

Requirements include Iowa RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS within specified timelines; an associate or diploma in nursing is required, BSN preferred; strong organizational and communication skills are essential; experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN registration with the Iowa Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire; ACLS within 1 year; PALS within 1 year.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate problem solving, critical thinking and patient assessment abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the SDS/PACU per ANA standards.
• Communicate with physicians, staff, patients and families about the plan of care.
• Perform holistic assessments including physical, psychosocial, nutritional, functional and safety needs.
• Deliver evidence-based, family-centered nursing care aligned with MercyOne Clinton’s mission.
• Coordinate care and participate in team rounds and handoffs.
