Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across the care continuum. You will perform the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, and engage patients and families to meet individualized goals.

Ideal candidates have a nursing degree (BSN preferred), an active Georgia RN license (or multi-state compact), and BLS (ACLS preferred). Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience is required in this role.

Qualifications

• Associates or diploma in nursing; BSN preferred.
• RN license valid in Georgia (or Compact multi-state).
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years direct patient care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; planning; implementation and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
• Provides patient-centered care adapting to age, gender, disease, and cultural diversity.
• Partners with patients and families through bedside reports, rounds, and teaching to align goals with the care plan.
• Practices using current clinical standards with teamwork and collaboration.
• Coordinates delivery and documentation of safe, high-quality care; promotes inclusive communication.
• Contributes to performance improvement, governance, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Diploma in Nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

RN license - Single State or Compact

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification
