Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time day-shift role with occasional night-call coverage. You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer treatments, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS, acute care experience, and English fluency. The facility emphasizes whole-person care and spiritual support within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Registered Nurse)
• BLS CPR certification required
• Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with regular evaluations.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are met.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to health team members; participate in performance improvement.
• Respond promptly to code situations to stabilize patients.
