Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time, day shift to provide comprehensive patient care across physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. You will assess patients, implement and adjust individualized care plans, and educate families on treatments and self-care.

Required RN license and Basic Life Support, with Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred and 1+ year acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state of NC or eligible)
• Associate's degree in Nursing required (BC/BS preferred)
• BLS certification required
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physical, psychological, developmental and spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust care plans to improve patient health.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide necessary interventions.
