Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU on rotating days and evenings in Richmond, VA. The role involves delivering age-appropriate direct patient care, participating in an interdisciplinary plan, and ensuring safe medication administration.

Must hold current Virginia RN licensure or be eligible for licensure in another state and be willing to enroll in an RN‑to‑BSN program if needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia or eligible/compact state.
• Clin II: 12–24 months RN experience; Clin III: 3 years clinical experience.
• Education: Diploma/Associate degree in nursing; BSN encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific nursing care per medical orders.
• Safely administer medications and document patient care.
• Organize work and supervise others on the unit when applicable.
• Rotate shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled by the Nurse Manager.
