Job summary

Healthier Mississippi People is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care in an assigned clinical area. The role coordinates patient scheduling, records, and admissions, and provides counseling to patients and families on treatment and conditions.

You will liaise with case managers, home health, and utilization review, while ensuring accurate records and contributing to hospital committees.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse license is required.
• Knowledge of clinical nursing care procedures and protocols.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with computer systems and patient data management.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, records, and admissions processes.
• Counsel patients and families on treatment and conditions.
• Collaborate with case managers, home health, utilization review and related teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in councils or committees.
• Serve as a preceptor per hospital guidelines and address patient issues with supervision.
• Adhere to safety standards and hospital policies; manage duties as assigned.
