Position: PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Vanguard Surgical Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuous, quality nursing care for all patients, with ongoing evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate. The nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge preparation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification if required by the center
• Preferred: 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
