Incredible Health in Detroit, MI is hiring a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care across diverse surgical cases. You will monitor vitals, administer medications, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams to ensure smooth transitions from OR to PACU and discharge home.

The role requires ADN or higher, an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 1 year of PACU/ICU experience; strong communication and EMR skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team player.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and execute treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams.
• Support patient transition from OR to PACU and discharge home.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and wound management.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $61,860 to $100,870 /year
