Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Boca Raton, FL to provide immediate post-operative care for diverse surgical patients. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and coordinate with surgical teams for smooth transitions from OR to PACU and discharge home.

The role requires an ADN or higher in nursing, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS. Excellent communication and EMR skills are essential, with shifts including day, night, and mid shifts.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work in a team.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to postoperative patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and execute treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for smooth patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies and procedures.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
