Amergis Healthcare Staffing in Plymouth, MA seeks a PACU RN for a travel assignment. The PACU RN cares for patients after anesthesia, monitors vitals, and ensures safe awakening and recovery in PACU.

Requirements include MA RN license, PACU experience preferred, ACLS/PALS per contract, CPAN/CAPA preferred, CPR if applicable. Benefits include weekly pay, health/dental/vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements; Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Monitor vital signs and recovery from anesthesia.
• Ensure patients awaken safely and monitor sedation levels.

Pay: $3002 / Week

Hours: 40.00

Location: Plymouth, MA

The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN cares for patients who have undergone anesthesia. The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN is responsible for observing and treating a patient postoperation and making sure that they safely awake from anesthesia. The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN must monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness to make sure that the sedation is wearing off properly, there are no adverse reactions occurring and patients are regaining consciousness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.
• One year PACU experience preferred
• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or CAPA (CertifiedAmbulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification preferred
• ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of age
