Job summary

Greenview Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse for PRN shifts at our Bowling Green, KY ambulatory surgery center. You will deliver safe postoperative care and monitor patients until discharge, contributing to our mission of caring like family.

Responsibilities include preparing care areas, airway management, vital signs monitoring, IV management, head-to-toe assessments, wound checks, and ensuring discharge criteria are met.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing required.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in PACU, ICU or Surgery preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required (online certification not accepted).
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire; PALS if required by facility within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' care area with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temp, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluations using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and operative sites and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and family.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
